Hydraulic pumping unit

Pumping unit, also known as oil extraction unit, is the main equipment for oil and gas exploitation in the oilfield. Most of the oil fields used beam pumping units before. With the development of the petroleum industry, the development of deep reservoirs, low permeability reservoirs, heavy oil reservoirs and unconventional oil and gas fields has put forward higher performance requirements for the required oil production equipment. The traditional beam pumping unit can not fully meet the needs of oil and gas development and production in the oilfield. Therefore, it is very necessary to reduce the cost of oil and gas exploitation, improve the efficiency of oil and gas exploitation, and develop pumping units that can not only meet the actual production needs of different oil and gas field well conditions, but also save energy. The application of hydraulic pumping unit was born.

Many oil production plants in Jilin Oilfield, Shengli Oilfield and other oilfields in China began to develop hydraulic pumping units long ago. Jilin Oilfield abandoned the traditional "donkey head" pumping unit lifting mode and adopted the independently developed hydraulic direct drive pumping unit. This alone saved more than 80000 square meters of land and nearly 20 million yuan in costs, about 25% less energy consumption than traditional pumping units. Shengli Oilfield Petroleum Equipment Company has also started to develop hydraulic pumping units since 2010. The first generation hydraulic pumping unit uses a set of hydraulic system to drive a hydraulic pumping unit, and uses a special pump motor system and flywheel energy storage mode. Due to the complexity of the hydraulic system and the high installation position of the oil cylinder, the reliability of the system is poor. On the basis of the first generation of hydraulic pumping units, the second generation of hydraulic pumping unit system was developed in 2019 after repeated demonstration and tests, communication and combination with the oil production plant of the oilfield, and electromechanical hydraulic integrated control technology. The dual well circulation control circuit controlled by parallel bars is adopted, and the two cylinders operate alternately up and down, which recovers the downward energy of the hydraulic cylinder, with remarkable energy-saving effect. After many rounds of industrial tests on the site, it fully meets the needs of oil and gas production in the oilfield, and runs smoothly and reliably.

 

Why hydraulic pumping units are popular ?

  1. With the deepening of oil and gas exploitation, the traditional beam type heavy oil recovery can not meet the needs of deep reservoirs, low permeability reservoirs and heavy oil reservoirs.
  2. The technology of hydraulic pumping unit has been mature, and the modified machinery has a compact structure, a small footprint, and a low comprehensive cost of equipment, which can meet the needs of a variety of oil areas.
  3. High degree of automation, convenient for centralized network management, and can realize large load, large stroke and low impact operation. It has good energy-saving effect and conforms to the guidelines and policies of energy conservation and emission reduction.
