Background

Moisture in lubricating oil and hydraulic oil will destroy the oil film, cause additives to fail, cause corrosion of metal parts, shorten the service life of oil, and even cause unplanned shutdown of large machinery, resulting in serious safety accidents and economic losses.

For generator sets and transformers, moisture will destroy the insulating properties of oil, posing a threat to the safety of power equipment and personnel.

Description

The PPM-HLW-2A oil moisture sensors adopts advanced water content sensitive element and temperature sensitive element, it can measure water content, water activity and temperature in harsh environment continuously, accurately, fast.

Measuring : lubricant oil, hydraulic oil, engine oil, fuel, insulating oil, turbine oil, etc.

Application: monitoring the moisture content of lubricating oil and hydraulic oil in large continuous operation equipment, heavy machinery equipment and other equipment

Note: The sensor is calibrated by 25# transformer oil by default (can be customized for oil sample calibration).The measurement accuracy needs to ensure that the test environment is at 20±5℃ and the flow rate is 30±5ml/min within the range.

Installation instructions

The PPM-HLW-2A oil moisture sensors should be installed from top to bottom, make sure the probe passes through the pipeline . For the core wire, it is recommended to use an extended probe or an adapter when installing with a large pipe diameter. The tube brings the probe across the midline.
